Navid Shahrestanti

Navid Shahrestani is an Associate Staff Engineer in the Controls and Autonomous Systems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Since joining Lincoln Laboratory in 2014, he has contributed to a wide range of unmanned systems programs, with a strong focus on GPS-denied state estimation and UAV navigation. His recent work centers on leveraging event cameras for on-board perception in small, agile unmanned platforms. Outside of work, Navid is an avid climber, soccer player, and hiker, basically always up for any activity that gets him outdoors.
