Immanuel Ampomah Mensah
Immanuel is a first-year PhD student at Northeastern University, affiliated with the Institute for Experiential Robotics. He is actively involved in the Parses Lab (Programmable and Reconfigurable Soft Engineered Systems) and NEURAL (NEU Robust Autonomy Lab). His research focuses on soft robotics, state estimation, and the planning and control of dynamical systems. Immanuel holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics, and a master’s degree in Mechatronics from Northeastern University, where he was a recipient of the University Scholars scholarship. His professional experience includes two internships at iRobot, a visiting researcher role at the Flow Physics and Engineering Lab at Pohang University of Science and Technology, and two years of full-time work as an Autonomous Vehicles Engineer. Passionate about robotics and Taekwondo, Immanuel founded Northeastern University’s Taekwondo Team and Robotics Club.
