Ted Clifford

Ted is an Embedded Software Engineer at the MITRE Corporation. As part of his work, he develops software for embedded systems with the purpose of understanding how physical characteristics of the device cause information to leak; then how to encourage or prevent these “side channels”. His interest for embedded security started in a high school when he participated as a student in the first Embedded Security & Hardware Hacking course. He is a recent graduate of WPI, where he studied Computer Science. In his free time, he likes to play disc golf, video games, listen to music, and hike. He is eager to work with students to get them excited for the field of embedded security and develop their understanding of topics that are becoming more and more crucial in securing our digital world.
