The MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute (BWSI) is a rigorous, world-class STEM program for talented students who will be entering their senior year in high school. The four-week program teaches STEM skills through project-based, workshop-style courses.
The growth of BWSI is fueled by the passion for teaching among the scientists and engineers of MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the faculty of MIT.
In early 2016, Dr. Bob Shin was challenged to create a project-based course to teach STEM topics, in particular, AI-related programming to high school students- within 6 months, Beaver Works Summer Institute was created and has been growing ever since!
