Autonomous RACECAR 2026

Welcome to the Autonomous RACECAR 2026 Prerequisite Course! The Autonomous RACECAR Prerequisite course covers all the fundamental math, physics, and programming logic concepts that we think are important for you to learn before you take on the challenge of programming a physical robot. We are excited to have you here, and hope you are excited to learn all about coding, robotics, and automation! RACECAR is an acronym that stands for: Rapid Autonomous Complex-Environment Competing Ackermann-steering Robot Originally, the hardware and software that make up RACECAR were carefully crafted at MIT for a junior-level robotics course, also known as "Robotics: Science and Systems (6.141/16.405)". Ever since then, a group of developers have been tirelessly working to make the course more accessible to people like you! In a nutshell, RACECAR is a platform that introduces programming and robotics at a highly engaging, interactive, and tangible level. Whether you are a complete beginner in coding or a skilled professional, there is something to enjoy for everyone taking the course.
