Welcome to the pre-course for BWSI E-Textiles and Wearable Technology! The summer course will expose you to the exciting field of textile-based, next-to-skin wearable technology that can monitor, actuate, and move for various use cases where proximity to the human is paramount. To truly learn about and be immersed in the field of "e-textiles," you will require basic knowledge in textile design, apparel design, and electronics. This course is fortunate to partner with the Advanced Functional Fabrics of America Institute (AFFOA) in Cambridge, so you will get to see and learn how advanced functional fabrics are produced!
